ITEMS OF RECOVERED HERITAGE
07/01/2011
Fourth in a series of exhibitions in recognition of the forty year activity of the Cultural Heritage Safeguard Carabinieri Headquarters, this spectacular review of artworks of different ages and crafting which were sequestered for years from the Italian artistic heritage, is presented in Venice after Naples, Rome and Florence, together with similar items coming from well known Italian museums.
The exhibit, including around fifty works, is displayed in three sections, the first two dedicated to important archaeological finds coming from clandestine excavations such as the so called marching Artemis, recovered in Switzerland in 2001 and the Eupfronios Vase; the third section is dedicated to archival and book heritage.
